In 2012, founder Welly Ng was raising children with allergic and highly sensitive skin conditions. Like many parents, she was repeatedly offered medicinal solutions that often felt too harsh, too aggressive, and difficult to use long term on delicate young skin.

As a mother, she began asking herself a difficult question:

 

What if the solution meant to help today could eventually become too harsh for tomorrow?

Frustrated by the lack of gentler alternatives, Welly started exploring phytotherapy — the study of plant-based therapeutic care — searching for ways to support her children’s skin more naturally and thoughtfully.

What began as small formulations made quietly in her own kitchen, intended only for her babies, slowly became something much bigger.
 

That same year, the name “Beauty Barn” was first placed onto a bottle.

Not as a business plan.
Not as a trend.
But as an act of care.

What started as personal formulations for her own family slowly grew through trust from other parents facing similar struggles with sensitive and reactive skin.
 

Over time, Beauty Barn Organics evolved from a home kitchen into its own manufacturing facility, eventually obtaining BPOM certification while continuing to stay grounded in the same philosophy it began with:

Care should feel gentle, thoughtful, and supportive.
 

As the family’s needs evolved, so did the formulations. The journey expanded beyond baby care into support for teenagers experiencing hormonal skin changes, adults facing stressed and sensitive skin, seniors with fragile and delicate skin conditions, and even Welly herself as she navigated changing skin needs through maturity and aging.
